What is CNC Machining

CNC stands for Computer Numerical Control. CNC machining is a subtractive manufacturing process that uses pre-programmed computer software to dictate the movement of factory machine tools. Unlike manual machining operated by human hands, every cutting, drilling, milling, turning and shaping action is fully controlled by digital G-code or M-code instructions uploaded to the machine controller. Raw solid material blocks (metal, plastic, wood, composite) are precisely cut away to carve out custom parts with strict dimensional tolerances.
